Hugh Smith, Chief Financial Officer/Vice President
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Hugh Smith serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of WeCareMD. He provides oversight of the Management Team, and has primary responsibility for human resources, finances, facilities management and contract negotiations.
Hugh is a graduate of Tennessee State University where he received his degree in Industrial Technology and a minor in Business. He has previously held senior level positions with several companies including Dunn & Bradstreet, Metro Networks, Trader Publishing, Consumer’s Choice of Atlanta and Lenox Financial Mortgage Corporation.
Lisa Williams, Practice Manager
Born in Macon, Georgia, Lisa Williams developed a love and passion for the medical field at a young age, and has been working in management, staff development and training for over 25 years. Lisa joined WeCareMD in 2007 as the Practice Manager and plays a major role in operations.
During her tenure in Medical Management, Lisa has successfully opened three practices assisting with physician credentialing, interviewing and hiring qualified staff, human resource management, medical billing and coding, trouble shooting and problem solving.
Michelle Russell, Manager
Born in Virginia Michelle moved to Georgia in 2003. She pursed her interest in the medical field starting with medical billing and coding and shortly after moved into management. Michelle has been in the medical field for over 14 years and has been with WeCareMD since 2011 .
Michelle is a certified coder and biller, has worked with contracting and credentialing providers and currently is the office manager at WeCareMD’s Marietta location.
Jessica Smith, Back Office Supervisor
Jessica was born and raised in Alabama. She always knew growing up that she wanted to work in healthcare. She went to Wallace State Community College and graduated in 2000 with an Associate’s Degree in Clinical Science.
Jessica moved to Georgia in 2000 and worked in the lab as a Medical Assistant for Floyd Urgent Care and Family Practice for eight years. She began her employment at WeCareMD in 2008 as a Medical Assistant and was promoted to Back Office Supervisor in 2017, and she remains an integral part of their success.
